Year 4 have begun their Science lessons talking about the environment. We discussed how it is important to look after the world and the different kinds of habitats that animals live in it.
We then visited the Forest School area near Foundation Stage and looked for as many different examples of living things as we could. Surprisingly, the area was full of mini-beasts and different plants and trees. Back in class we discussed whether it would be better to get rid of this area and build a new adventure playground on the site or whether we should keep it and let all the living things stay there. There were some interesting viewpoints! Here are some pictures.
We will be exploring habitats and living things further in our Science lessons this term.
