Year 3 visited the Museum on Tuesday 20th March as part of their topic Tribal Tales. The children participated in a fun learning and activity session led by a member of the museum’s education staff. They looked closely at the artefacts and also worked together to put events and items in order on a timeline. We were all surprised to see how long ago the Stone Age people lived compared to us now, as was demonstrated by the children forming a human timeline across the exhibition room. The children had a brilliant time, behaved impeccably and participated enthusiastically, discovering many new facts about life in the Stone, Bronze and Iron Age.
