VE Day celebrations

A marked VE Day last Friday in a number of different ways.  Look at these delicious scones and flapjack she made as part of an afternon tea to deliver to her Grampy.

They even decorated their house with bunting and made home-made cards too!  Well done.

How did you celebrate VE Day?  Do send any photos, we’d love to see.  Do you remember when we were in Year 3 we did a project on the First World War and as part of that many of you researched and found out about people in your family who had been alive at that time?  I wonder if you could see if you can find out about any of your family and what they did at the time of the Second World War?  I’ve been finding out even more about my Grandpa and Grandad who were soldiers that were both caught and then kept in Prisoner of War camps one in Japan and one in an area which is now in the Czech Republic.
