St Thomas More Fest – Sep 17

Music Week – 18th to 22nd September 2017

The week was kicked off by a brilliant performance from The Oxfordshire Music Service who showed the children a variety of instruments that they could learn to play at school. If your child would like to learn to play an instrument, please contact the office for the correct forms.

During the week the classes learnt different songs to perform as a group on Friday. The performances from the children were amazing! They performed a variety of songs which they all knew very well and some even had actions and costumes. Well done to the children for a fantastic Music Festival! I think the parents really enjoyed it!

After the Music Festival, there was the Talent show. The children who had practised and performed did brilliantly and it was very difficult to choose a winner. Well done to Josie for winning the Talent show with her performance of ‘My favourite things’ from The Sound of Music and Vanessa, Ella E, Jacob T and Jacob G, the runners up.

The Friends of St Thomas More provided refreshments throughout the event on Friday. They managed to raise over £300, which will go straight back to the school, which is brilliant. Thank you to all the Friends who helped with the event.

On behalf of everyone at St Thomas More, I would like to thank everyone who helped with the organisation, providing refreshments or sound equipment or just took part. It was a brilliant event!
