Sports Day –Part One  2018

It was lovely to see so many parents supporting the children at the annual sports day event. The Y6 house leaders took the teams around the 8 stations hoping to achieve top marks for behaviour, skill level and teamwork. Some stations also offered a competitive element to the activity. With the weather causing concern the races were postponed until Monday 2nd July at 09:30, again at west Kidlington. We look forward to you joining us for part two!

Y6 Leaders  multiskills festival for 200 Y1 children in Kidlington

What an outstanding display of Leadership our Y6 children demonstrated when they, along with the Y6 students from West Kidlington school, organised and ran a multiskills festival for all the Y1 Children in Kidlington-all 200 of them!  Each activity was designed and officiated by the Y6.Well done Y6 you did an amazing job and our Y1 and Y2 (Who went to Edward Field) children. Even teachers from the other primary schools commented on how fantastic you were with all the Y1 who attended. Thank you for being great role models and ambassadors for our school.

Y6 Football League

Well done to our Y6 Football team who battled through 3 very close matches on a hot evening to finish 4th in the league. The players faced some still opposition form the larger Kidlington Schools but never stopped trying. Well done team STM. Thank you to Ella Edwards from Y5 for stepping up and joining the Y6 team.

Quad kids

The Quad kids Athletics festival on the 14th June at Gosford School saw outstanding performances from our Y4 and Y6 children. Each athlete participated in a throw, a jump, a sprint AND a long distance run! The children gave each of their four events 100% effort which resulted in both year group teams finishing in 4th place. Well done to you all for this fantastic result.

Y6 Cricket Festival

Y6 visited Stratfield Brake at the beginning of the month to take part in the Kidington Schools Cricket Festival.  We took two boys teams and a girls team. The children played against all the local schools and demonstrated some great batting, bowling and fielding skills. Both the boys teams finished in 4th place and the girls finished 2nd -Well done Y6.
