Reading Bear’s Adventures

Hello Year 1! Here is an update of Reading Bear’s adventures with Mrs Brooks!

Reading Bear has been busy learning some new skills in the kitchen! He has been helping with lots of cooking and baking. Reading bear helps with measuring out the ingredients and reading the recipes. Their favourite recipe to cook together is mushroom risotto.

They have also been trying to keep fit by doing exercise classes on the TV, dancing and going for walks. On one of their walks they went on a bear hunt through the woods . They sang “We’re going on a bear hunt, we’re going to catch a big one, what a beautiful day. O oh, a forest, a big dark forest …………. stumble trip, stumble trip.”

Reading bear has also helped Mrs Brooks to decorate the hallway at home. He helped to put the paste on the wallpaper and Mrs Brooks hung it on the wall.

They have also been painting rainbows to put in the windows and every Thursday they stand outside on the doorstep, to clap and cheer all the people who are helping us at this time.

With the beautiful sunny weather we have been having, he has been able to sit in the garden with Mrs Brooks, to do lots of reading. Mollie the Cat has really enjoyed sitting with Reading Bear. They enjoyed having lunch in the garden too.

Mrs Ewers, Mrs Brooks and Reading bear hope you are all keeping well and we really look forward to hearing about how you have been busy reading, dancing, drawing, playing games, making and having fun.
