Proudest Pieces from Week 4’s Home Learning and Activities

posted in: Latest News 0

Hello Year 1!

It has been a real treat to read your emails and find out about what you have been doing at home.

Please do not have a worry in your tummy about the home learning. If all you can manage is spelling shed, some maths and reading a book each day then this is great! If you want to and can have a go at any other of the weekly learning suggestions that is also great!

Some children have worked really hard on spelling shed this week and have received a certificate for this – shamazing work – give yourselves a shine! Next week it could be you!

This week our proudest pieces are…

Isabella has been busy baking a birthday cake for her Daddy’s birthday and made home-made wrapping paper too! She even made pasta at home! Brilliant!

Kevin loved being creative over Easter and has been busy with maths and phonics too!

Abigail has been sewing a beautiful bag (oo alliteration! beautiful bag) and is climbing the equivalent of the 4 peaks in 2 weeks to raise money for Tear fund as they work among those in poverty in these hardest of times. Abigail and her Mummy are doing this by climbing the stairs in their house on average of 113 times a day between them! Phew! This is just fantastic!

James has been busy creating his fact file this week – well done James!

Giulia B is enjoying spending time with her family and created this wonderful drawing about Hope, Love and Peace.

It really is wonderful to see all your different ways of learning Year 1! You and your families are all doing a great job! Give yourselves a big hug!

Mrs Ewers, Mrs Brooks, Mrs Conway and Mrs Dryden all miss you lots and we would love you to keep sending your wonderful news and creations on email and keep smiling and laughing. Stay safe and take care of each other. xx
