Great Fire of London Workshop

posted in: Year 1 News 0

Year 1 have been busy learning lots more about the Great Fire of London in their History lessons and it was brought to life with the help of our workshop today from:

We met Samuel Pepy’s, we built Pudding Lane out of houses and watched as the flames caught hold! We worked as a team to try to put the fire out using leather buckets and water from the River Thames, fire hooks and finally…gun powder!

We also used a fire cart just like the ones used in 1666. This has helped us to remember lots of facts and information about the Great Fire of London!
