We have been Historians today, handling artefacts loaned to us from the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum.
Children used their senses to describe the look, feel and smell of various objects that soldiers would have had with them in the First World War. They then looked at the clues and suggested what the objects could have been used for and asked their own questions that they wanted to enquire about. Year 3 will have an opportunity to handle and explore these objects later in the week. We are very fortunate to have been loaned this box from the museum as part of our History topic this term.
