Year 5 had a busy day designing and making an Egyptian Shaduf.
They began by making prototypes of shadufs using art straws and adhesive tack.
Afterwards, everybody created a detailed design of their own Ancient Egyptian inspired shaduf, outlining the materials, tools and measurements that they wanted to use.
The next step was to gather their materials and the children enjoyed using the saws to cut their measured pieces of wood to specification.
Have a look at the photos and some pictures of the completed models.
