Page Under Review
Welcome to St Thomas More ‘Home Learning’ Platform.
Here you will find interesting and exciting learning opportunities to do at home.
We will be updating this page regularly with links to activities you may like to do with your child at home. As your child is in Reception, they will learn mostly through play. It is important to value all of the different areas of learning within the Early Years curriculum, more information can be found on our Foundation Stage page. Our usual routine in Reception is to have short 20 minute focused sessions, if you are doing any focused learning at home try to keep to sessions of no more than 20-30 minutes spread throughout the day. Please find below a suggested timetable, based on how our day currently runs in Reception to help you plan your day, if you require it.
Under ‘Weekly Focused Learning’ we will be uploading weekly home learning projects for you to work on at home.
Your child will have brought home additional reading books and a blank exercise book.
Please use the blank exercise book provided by the school to record any learning that you complete at home including the weekly learning projects plus anything else your child would like to add.
If your child has a particular interest, you can be led by them. If you have any questions please do get in touch.
