Place 2 Be Children’s Mental Health Week 7-11 February

Just before the holidays across the school we took part in Children’s Mental Health Week.

We have enjoyed an assembly on the theme of growing together.  We’ve been thinking of all the people in our lives who help us to grow and develop and support us when things are difficult.

Year 3 and Year 4 joined together for the afternoon.  The children have made their own support hot air balloons showing the people they turn to for help and encouragement.

Children also set goals to help them grow emotionally.  Some talked about trying to be more kind or more confident.  Others said they’d try and talk more about their emotions with others.

Do have a look at this link from Place 2 Be https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/parents-and-carers/ There is lots of useful information there including on topics such as feelings, emotions, anxiety, sibling rivalry and friendships.
