Festa Junina

A had a a mini traditional Brazilian party called “festa junina” where they dressed up as simple people from the countryside with hats made of straw and flowery tissue everywhere. There was  lots of singing, dancing and eating food (most of them corn based) popcorn, corn cake, peanut sweets, hot dogs. This was also a time to celebrate 3 saints in June hence “Junina”: Saint Anthony, Saint Peter and Saint John. What a fun way to celebrate this tradition.
